Our full hearing assessment provides a complete picture of your hearing health. We encourage you to bring a family member or friend along for support – often, our loved ones are most aware of our challenges when it comes to hearing.
It’s also useful to jot down any specific situations where you’ve noticed difficulties with your hearing. If you’ve had previous hearing tests, bring those results along, and do mention any relevant medical history or medications you’re taking.

What Happens at a Hearing Test?

Next, we’ll assess your outer ear using a camera. This allows us to examine your ear canal and eardrum, and you’ll be able to see what we’re seeing too. We’ll also perform a non-invasive examination of your middle ear function to detect stiffness or fluid build-up. Both of these assessments are painless.
Then we’ll conduct a test where you’ll listen to tones at different frequencies and volumes through headphones in our soundproof environment. We’ll also check how well you can hear and process spoken words in various situations.
Throughout every stage, one of our experienced audiologists will be right there with you to explain what’s happening and ensure you feel comfortable.
