Kuraisha

B Comm Path (Audiology) (Hons) MSc (Med) Child Health (Neurodevelopment)

Kuraisha possesses a deep-rooted passion for patient well-being and a strong interest in hearing health, which naturally led her into the field of Audiology.

She brings a wealth of diverse and progressive experience, having served as a Clinical Audiologist at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH) in South Africa—one of the largest hospitals in the Southern Hemisphere—and later as a Paediatric Audiologist with the NHS at East Kent Community Health Services (EKCHS).

Kuraisha’s extensive theoretical, clinical, and technical expertise spans the full age spectrum—from infants to older adults. Her experience includes diagnostic assessments, ongoing management, pre- and post-operative evaluations, and working with special populations requiring tailored audiological care.

Driven by a strong commitment to social equity, she has devoted her time and expertise to serving underprivileged communities. In South Africa, she worked tirelessly to educate and empower children with hearing loss in previously disadvantaged areas. In Cambodia, she collaborated with local professionals to establish a newborn hearing screening program aimed at early identification of hearing loss.
